The Speicher 20 once again falls under the popular motto "Four fists for one Hallelujah". Two of the most notorious disco robbers since the end of prohibition, Schäfer's Nas (legendary figure of Cologne’s demimonde) and Chinese Fiete (a popular character from a TV show called “The King of St. Pauli) of the post-acid era, stand side by side to give your favorite club a good going over. On the one hand, there's Hamburg's most annoying, DJ Koze, and on the other, Cologne's shady king of hits, Justus Köhncke, both in the best of mixing moods, which should be described as follows …

"Brutalga Square": In the beginning there is the bicycle bell. A pretty normal bicycle bell. It’s just there and rings. Everybody knows that this happens. People like to ring it a little bit. Some shyly at first, others drunk and already completely uninhibited. Not too bad, one would think. We've all seen worse than air bike ringers, air elephant trumpeters for example, but that's another story.

So while there's ringing around so happily, a humming somehow slips into the throng almost unnoticed. This humming has its best friend with it, but he doesn't arrive until later. His best friend is a big bruiser, and really big bruisers like to wait. That's just the way they are. This big bruiser is just a fabulous guy. He has absolutely everything that makes a really big bang. Honestly. You're happy to wait. You can still ring around with the others for a while.

Justus Köhncke's "Immediately": "Hello? Are you still there? I don't believe it now," DJ Koze must have said when he heard this ham from his Cologne colleague for the first time. "You just say "Wahnsinn" too often, it wears off. That's why we keep our composure and say, "That's one hell of a giant bag full of hornets gone wild." Or something silly like: "My dear slider! Or you don't say anything at first and just let yourself rattle away until the rattle falls out of your hand. Rarely has techno been so exaggerated. Pain has never been so beautiful. In any case, "Sofort" is a nut that subsequent generations will have to gnaw on for a while. "How was something like that possible back then?", you'll ask yourself. Or you'll drink a shot and say, "Hello? Are you still there? I don't believe it now.

Ehrlich. Da wartet man gerne.

Nie waren Schmerzen so schön.
