It's not like he's Kompakt's secret weapon or something - everybody knows that Reinhard Voigt is a friggin' techno genius, well-known for his sweat-on-the-walls approach and a pretty powerful live presence. It's just that one hasn't heard from him in a while, at least as a recording solo artist: while the Voigt & Voigt project (helmed by him and his brother Wolfgang) saw some decent airplay lately via the beloved Erdingertrax series and the brilliant full-length "Die Zauberhafte Welt Der Anderen", we have yet to welcome a new solo outing - the last one dates back to 2007, except the casual appearances on our Total series, of course. That's why it's even more exciting to get our hands on the recording of Reinhard's DGTL performance from last month - a perfect example of his dramaturgic expertise and a mighty fine collection of some of his best work to date. Now, we wanna see those hands in the air!
