Spotlight on Lake Turner

After four artist spotlights about Rex The Dog, Justus Köhncke, Thomas Fehlmann and Kaito, this week we want to focus on a new artist in our ranks. Having first appeared on the TOTAL 16 compilation, London based Lake Turner will release his full length "Videosphere” on October 23rd.

Having previously made music in post-punk and indie groups Great Eskimo Hoax and Trophy Wife, "Videosphere" is the first time he’s fully articulated his own vision of electronic music, aside from one limited lathe-cut 12”, 2018’s Prime Mover EP, on Algebra.

Ahead of the album release in October, you can now get the single release "Videosphere" exclusively as digital download via kompakt.fm before it will be available on all other download and streaming platforms October 2nd.

Nach den Artist-Spotlights zu Rex The Dog, Justus Köhncke, Thomas Fehlmann und Kaito wollen wir diese Woche den Fokus auf einen neuen Künstler in unseren Reihen richten. Der in London ansässige Lake Turner wird am 23. Oktober seine LP "Videosphere" auf Kompakt veröffentlichen. Das erste mal trat Turner auf unserer Kompilation "TOTAL 16" in Erscheinung.

Zuvor hatte er in den Post Punk- und Indie-Bands Great Eskimo Hoax und Trophy Wife gespielt. Bis auf eine limitierte lathe-cut 12", der "Prime Mover EP" auf Algebra von 2018, artikuliert Turner auf "Videosphere" zum ersten Mal seine eigene Vision von elektronischer Musik.

Vor der Veröffentlichung des Albums im Oktober ist die gleichnamige Single-Auskopplung "Videosphere" ab sofort exklusiv im Kompakt Download-Shop erhältlich. Am 2. Oktober erscheint sie dann auf allen anderen Download- und Streaming-Plattformen.
