WhoMadeWho & Robag Wruhme - If You Leave

Cologne, the home town of KOMPAKT, is affected in a very special way by the many restrictions imposed by the Corona pandemic. Not only the numerous clubs, the event and catering industry, the artists and musicians are suffering - no, even Cologne's dearest child, the carnival, will not take place in winter 2020/21, or at least not in the usual form.

Why are we telling you all this? Because today we are writing the 11th of November - or rather the "Eleventh in the Eleventh" as the Rhinelander says - but instead of the usually colourful and loud start of the carnival season, today it will be very, very quiet in Cologne. But in order to relieve ourselves, but above all you, of the current lack of socio-cultural joie de vivre and the resulting phantom pain a little, instead of candies we're going to throw at least one more hot track from the WHOMADEWHO album "Synchronicity" on the digital grill today. Together with the three pre-EPs "Synchronicity 1", "Synchronicity 2" & "Synchronicity 3" and two days before the official release of the album, we are putting "If You Leave", the congenial sway number by WMW and Robag Wruhme, into the download shop on kompakt.fm ... Köln, die Heimatstadt von KOMPAKT, ist auf ganz besondere Art von den vielfältigen Einschränkungen durch die Corona-Pandemie betroffen. Denn nicht nur die zahlreichen Clubs, die Veranstaltungs- und Gastronomiebranche, die Künstler und Musiker leiden - nein, auch des Kölners liebstes Kind, der Karneval, wird im Winter 2020/21 nicht oder zumindest nicht in gewohnter Form stattfinden.

Warum erzählen wir Euch das alles? Weil wir heute den 11. November schreiben – oder besser: den "Elften im Elften" wie der Rheinländer sagt – aber statt dem gewöhnlich bunten und lauten Beginn der Karnevalssaison wird es heute in Köln sehr sehr ruhig bleiben.
